Tempting Temp-ting light refreshments were served with covers laid for Mrs. Clair Larsen, Mrs. Reuben Lar-sen, Lar-sen, Mrs. Eddie Labrum, Mrs. Verland Labrum, Mrs. Reva Owen, Mrs. Farrell Wilkins and Mrs. Darrell Walker. Following luncheon two tables were arranged for bridge with prizes being won by Mrs. Verland Ver-land Labrum, Mrs. Eddie Labrum Lab-rum and Mrs. Reuben Larsen. BRIDGETTE Mrs. Bennie Schmiett was hostess to the Bridgette club at a prettily appointed dessert luncheon at her home on Thursday Thurs-day evening, November 7. Her guest list numbered twelve, including in-cluding Mrs. Johnnie Cook, Mrs. Clem Labrum, Mrs. Steve Bellon, Mrs. Ned Bellon. Mrs. Louis Corbridge, Mrs. Orson Stevens, Mrs. Parley Rawlings, Mrs. Jack Mohlman, Mrs. Marvell Nelson, Mrs. Elmer Eldredge, Mrs. Mont Killian and Mrs. Bill Murdock. Following luncheon three tables of bridge were at play during the evening. NEIGHBORHHOD SEWING CLUB Mrs. Guy Burton entertained the members of the Neighborhood Neighbor-hood Sewing Club at her home on Wednesday evening, November Novem-ber 6. Delicious light refreshments refresh-ments were served to Mrs. George Abplanalp, Mrs. Stanley Hall, Mrs. Louis Laris, Mrs. Cllf- 'ton Laris, Mrs. Parley Rawlings, Mrs. Neldon Nybcrg, Mrs. Darrell Dar-rell Walker, Mrs. J. S. Rawlings and Mrs. Art Allen. AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY Members of the American Leg-aon Leg-aon Auxiliary entertained the American Legion at a pheasant dinner on Armtstice Day. Approximately Ap-proximately thirty-five guests were present to partake of this annual repast. The regular meeting of the Auxiliary was held Wednesday evening at the American Legion hall with President Amber Swain presiding. Thelma Barlow was appointed assistant Child Welfare director to assist Mrs. Martin Curtis of Ft. Duchesne. The next meeting will be held at the Legion hall on November 27. ALTRUS CLUB Altrus club met last Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Gillespie. Mrs. Elaine Hull-ingcr Hull-ingcr gave a beautiful reading of "The While Cliffs of Dover." Those enjoying the meeting were Mrs. Fawn Leavitt, Mrs. Melba Swain, Mrs. Elaine Hullinger, Mrs. Bee Jordan, Mrs. Mildred Dillman, Mrs. Virgie Murphy, Mrs. Carma Winterton, Mrs. Beryl Mullins, Mrs. Verlaine Swenson, Mrs. Reva Allred, Mrs. Jean Snow and Mrs. F. Crane. MIDNIGHT SUPPER Mr. and Mrs. Ralph C. Dart, of Myton, entertained with a midnight supper on Hallowe'en following the ball held at the Ioka hall. Their guest list includ- ed Mr. and Mrs. Orville Dart, Jr., of Los Angeles, California; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Buchanan, of Roosevelt, and Mr. and Mrs. Doyl Lloyd, of Ioka. BIRTHDAY PARTY Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Angus entertained at a dinner party Monday evening commemorating their daughter, Shirlee's 18th birthday anniversary. Guests present included Mr. and Mrs. Martin Curtis, Mr. and Mrs. Leq Hancock, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Redmond, Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Gleaton, Miss Joanne Roberts, Miss Velma Todd, Miss Dorothy Dillman and Miss Gertrude Page. D. U. P. The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Pio-neers held a county meeting Saturday Sat-urday at the home of Mrs. Pearl Redmond, of Roosevelt, to discuss dis-cuss plans for their part in the Centennial celebration. Mrs. Mar-I Mar-I garet Maxfield, the county presi-Ident, presi-Ident, Mrs. Janett Beebe, first vice president; Mrs. May R. Lambert, secretary; Mrs. Maxine Burdick, registrar, and Mrs. Pearl Redmond, memorial chairman, chair-man, were present. Each camp is asked to write a history of its locality and submit them by December 31. These histories will all be compiled and bound in book form to be sold. Request is made for anyone knowing any hstory stories or anecdotes of interest that they would like to have included in the book to contact the Captain of your camp, or mail to one of the county officers. A complete history of the settling of Duchesne Du-chesne county is desired and the help of every citizen is earnestly solicited. FRIDAY BRIDGE CLUB Mrs. Bob Huish was hostess to members of the Friday Bridge club at a delightful dessert luncheon at her home on November Novem-ber 8. Her guest list included sixteen, including, Mrs. R. S. Jordan, Mrs. jSam Weiss, Mrs. J. V. McLea, Mrs. C. L. Ashton, Mrs. Wm. H. Ruppel, Mrs. R. Q. Warnock, Mrs. V. A. Bair, Mrs. Les Mullins, Mrs. Paul Wilkins, Mrs. Fred Ferron, Mrs. Paul Murphy, Mrs. Eugene Harmston, Mrs. John Bourne and Mrs Louis Corbridge Following luncheon four tables were arranged for bridge with prizes going to Mrs. Mullins, Mrs. Jordan, Mrs. Weiss, Mrs. Corbridge Cor-bridge and Mrs. Wilkins. |
