ARCADIA 5XSX2XS5X5 Word was received that Mrs. Trilba Gill, who has been very ill at the L D S hospital the past two weeks is improving and will be home within a few days. Mrs. Gladys Ross went to Salt Lake City to spend a few weeks with her son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Loryn Ross. A lumber meeting was held at the Arcadia ward hall. Many farmers from Arcadia and adjoining ad-joining communities were present, pres-ent, also the Clemons brothers and Clarence White of Duchesne and Floyd Lamb of Myton. Mr. and Mrs. Hale Hoi gate and Marion Ross made a trip to Castle Gate Wednesday to visit Silas Ross, who has been quite ill. They returned that same day. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Ross received re-ceived word that their son, Du-ane Du-ane had been commissioned a First Lieutenant in the Army Air Corp. A number of people from Arcadia Ar-cadia attended the farewell party par-ty given for Leland White and Keith Beal at Bridgeland Tuesday Tues-day night. The Mutual presented three one-act plays in the Ward house Tuesday night. Miss Leona Shields attended the Shower given for Mr. and Mrs. Syril Dennis' at Myton Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Beckstead made a trip to Salt Lake City where they purchased them a new home last week. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ross served serv-ed a Sunday night supper to a few friends in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Gilbert. Glen is home on a few days furlough from the army. Mrs. Wilson Neilson, Mrs. Joseph Jos-eph C. Neilson and Mrs. Venice Purdy of Bridgeland were visiting visit-ing friends and relatives in Arcadia Ar-cadia Sunday. Archie Larson returned home from Meeker, Colorado, where he has been employed. J |
