Show Red Cross Aided 13,000 Soldiers At Camp Stoneman CAMP STONEMAN, Calif. That the American Red Cross, the humanitarian organization that helps in the relief of suffering everywhere on the global war, has helped many Camp Stoneman soldiers sol-diers over the "rough spots" during dur-ing the last year is revealed in a report issued by Mr. Gustavc N. Olson field director. During the last year approximately approxi-mately 13,000 Camp Stoneman sol-deirs sol-deirs visited the Red Cross office with their personal problems. Ten thousand of .that number were rendered case work requiring considerable con-siderable time, and the remaining 3,000 were handled on a brief serv-vice serv-vice basis. The Red Cross made 2,855 loans to soldiers here during the year, totaling about S120.000. They furnished thirty day rooms at Sta- tlon Hospital and a half dozen throughout the camp proper. |
