Mrs. Juince Johnson of Deep Creeu was called to Cedar City where her daughter, Mrs. Stella Harms ton was operated on for appendicitis at the hospital there. Mr. and Mrs. Junius Goodrich of Murray and Clarence Bills of Bingham were visitors in La-point La-point Tuesday. Mrs. Ella Bills accompanied ac-companied them to her home at Bingham after visiting here. Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Walker received re-ceived word from their sons, Leo ahd Elroy who have been stationed sta-tioned at San Francisco that they were now on the Pacific ocean, Both toys are in the navy. Mrs. Eliza JNeison receiveu word that here son, Lamont and wife were the proud parents of a baby boy. Lamont is working in an Airplane factory in Los Angeles, An-geles, California. Lloyd Taylor and family moved to Vernal Tuesday. They have purchased the Reader home south of town. Adrean Kump has purchased the Lloyd Taylor home south east of town and moved there the last week. Ersol Sprcuse -and family of Green River are visiting his mother, Mrs. Mae Sprouse during the week. Mr. and Mrs. James Marcos and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hackford spent the week end in Price consulting con-sulting a doctor there. Mr. and Mrs .Darrell Swain were in Salt Lake City the past week taking a load of cattle to the Ogden Stock yards. Belle Labium visited Friday in Cedcrview with her sister, Carrie Johnson who has been ill for some time. Wilma Bingham and children of Alterra visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Norton Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Norton of Price brought his mother, Mrs. A. W. Norton, who has been receiving receiv-ing medical care home. Delos Searle had the misfortune misfor-tune to get Uirown from a horse breaking his arm Thursday. Armand Eaton and family formerly of RincrViam Vmf Vernal visited her parens, Mr. and Mrs. D. I. Wilson over the week end. Errol Hullinger of Vernal was an over night guest at the home of Boyd Winn Saturday. Mrs. Donna Hartle entertained at a birthday party for her son Saturday afternoon. 20 friends were present, gamers were played and a delicous lunch served after which a peanut hunt was enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gadd and polly Gadd of Pop's Place visited in Lapoint Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. O. T. Thurman and Erma Taylor of the Sunday school board of Vernal were visitors vis-itors at Sunday school. George Roth, Ralph Siddoway and Clair Hopkins of Vernal were over Sunday in the interest of the 3rd War Loan drive. .The following follow-ing committee from Lapoint was chosen to act on this drive, Mrs. Lovicia Smith, Mae Sprouse, Dorothy Thompson and Olie Justice. The MIA officers and teachers teach-ers held an outdoor party Saturday Satur-day evening on the river in honor of Belle Labrum who leaves in the next few days for Provo where she will make her home this winter. Games were played and a delicious lunch served to 30 people. Mrs. Labrum has worked in the M I A the past 8 years. Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell" Wilkins and Nelda Wilkins and daughter, Lynne of Roosevelt visited Sunday Sun-day in Lapoint. |
