Show Funerals MRS. MAMIE GARDNER Mrs. Mamie Utley Gardner, 72 of Ncola, died Wednesday, April 5, at 2:45 a. m. in a Sait Lake hospital of complications following a major ' operation which was performed on April 4. Mrs. Gardner, one of the early pioneers in the Uintah Basin, was born in Pine Valley, Washington Wash-ington county, June 8, 1874, a daughter of Gabriel and Sophia Burgess Utley. She married Edward Ed-ward II. Gardner May 10, 1893 in Anabclla, Sevier county. They resided in Indianola, Sanpete county until 1912, when they-moved they-moved to Ncola, where Mr. Gardner was a prominent stockman stock-man until his death July 16, 1943. An active member of the L.D. S. church, Mrs. Gardner served as a Relief Society teacher for several years. 1 Survivors include four sons and a daughter, Lester, LeGrand and Max Gardner, all of Neola; L. D. Gardner, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Myrtle Nealson, Roosevelt: 10 brothers and sisters, Gabriel and John Utley, both of Sevier county; Sam Utley, Fillmore; Willard Utley and Mrs. Vera Leavitt, Richfield; Roy Utley, Los Angeles; Ray Utley and-Mrs. Myrtle Robinson, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Hattie Ross, Kaysville; Mrs. Ethel Hunt, Lark; 25 grandchildren grandchil-dren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted at 1 p. m. in the Neola L.D.S. ward chapel. Burial will be in the Neola cemetery. Friends may call at the Dillman Funeral Home Friday from 1 to 5 p. m. and at the family residence resi-dence in Neola, Saturday from 9 a. m. until 12.30 p. m, |
