Douglas for his examination Thursday. Sgt. Glenden H. Mathews of Upalco was visiting his sister and family last week. He was in the engineering corp in the European Theater. He went to Mare Island to visit his brother, Cpl. unaries Matnews. uienaan has served for three years. Pvt. Paul Felter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Felter left for his station Thursday. Sunday Dinner Mr. and Mrs. Bliss Lott, and Mrs. Burdick were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson Sunday. Farewell Parly Mrs. Earl Gingell and Mrs. Wm. Preece were hostesses at a farewell party in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McClellan Friday evening. A large crowd attended. A dinner was served about 11:30, The newlyweds left Monday for San Pedro, California. Cali-fornia. Friday Bridge Mrs. Wm. Preece was hostess to the members of the Friday bridge club at her home Friday August 3. Those present were: Mrs. Lee Cooper, Mrs. Wm. Koehler, Mrs. Homer Robinson, Mrs. Bliss Lott, Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. James Dalgleish and Mrs. E. W. Kronquist of Ft. Duchesne. Cpl. Marvel Woods, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dennis, came home Wednesday. He was given an honorable discharge. He was in the Pacific Area and ended up in the Philippines. He received his boot training at Ft. Warren, Wyoming, and Ft. Bliss, Texas. 4-H Club The Stitch and Chatter club met at the home of Miss LaRue Linch. Tuesday. They planned a trip to Uintah Canyon August 6-7-8. Barbara Mortensen was a guest. Refreshments were served by the hostess. Miss Barbara Mortensen of Monroe is visiting her cousins, Miss LaRue Linch and Mary Lee Mortensen. Mr, and Mrs. Acel Bingham and son, Dick, Mr. and Mrs. La-Var La-Var Dennis and two daughters, of Layton were here the latter part of the week to visit Acel Bingham S.M. 3-c while on leave. Mrs. DaveVAllen and daughter, LeAnna went to Salt Lake City, and Provo Sunday to take care of business. Tuesday they will go to Teasdale, to visit Mr. and Mrs. Alphus Lindsey and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Durphy. John Zirker, Sr., went to Salt Lake Sunday to see a doctor he returned home Monday . Mr. and Mrs. Acel Nielson of Rangley, Colorado and Sgt. James Hardinger of Roosevelt were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Emery Nielson Sunday evening. George Goldenbee of Los Angeles, went home Wednesday He has been a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Davenport. Cpl. Howard Goodrich of Bluebell was visiting his aunt, and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
