Show Mrs. Ray Greenhalgh and small son, Paul, are visiting at Nephi; while there, Mrs. Greenhalgh Green-halgh will be given medical aid. I Ralph Thacker, son of Mr. and I Mrs. Wesley Thacker, had his' fifth birthday March 7th. A party par-ty was givien in his honor. : Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ilartman went to Salt Lake City on business busi-ness March 8th. Bishop and Mrs. Walter Kerk-siek Kerk-siek went to Provo and Salt Lake Friday the 10th, on business. busi-ness. A farewell party was given in honor of four boys leaving for im. service soon. Miss Patty Thacker returned home Sunday from Price, where she has been employed for a year. She will return to her job the latter part of March. Miss Lola Perkins was married mar-ried to Howard Lucas, who is in the service, March 9th. IVIr. and Mrs. LaForge Daslrup made a trip to Salt Lake during . t.jo week. Mrs. Hardy Perkins went to Syracuse, Utah, to attend her cousin's wedding to Rex Pace. ; Mrs. Arnold Mecham is teaching her classes during her absence. Mrs. Margaret Ward and son, Bill, were Saturday visitors in , Duchesne and Roosevelt, j Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dastrup cared for LaForge Dastrup's grocery store while he was in Salt Lake this week. Mrs. Wesley Thacker has been ill with the flu. I Officers and Teachers meeting meet-ing was held Wednesday evening even-ing at Mt. Emmons. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served after which dancing was enjoyed. Wesley Thacker was in Vernal Thursday on business. Miss Pattie Thacker will visit in Salt Lake with her sisiters, i Mrs. Don Davies and Mrs. Le-' Le-' land Stevenson, this coming : week. 1 Mrs. Melinda Thomas was in Roosevelt on business Saturday. ! Miss May Crosby of Salt Lake is home on an extended visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Crosby. ! Relief Society conference was held in the ward hall Sunday. The speakers were: Mrs. Lavon Atwood, Mrs. Dell Mecham, Mrs. Walter Kerksiek, Mrs. LeRoy Rust, Mrs. Glen Ames and Mrs Dale Thomas. The Relief Society Soc-iety members furnished the singing. sing-ing.
