Mrs. Mable Betts and children, of Roosevelt, visited Mrs. Belt's sister, Mrs. Doris Haslem, Sunday. Sun-day. Mrs. Fred Hartle spent last week at Grccnriver with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Allred. It was announced that there would be baptising at Rooseveit on the 20th. Mr. and Mrs. George Allred. of Ouray, were visitors at the home of Mrs. Allred's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred liar tie, Saturday Satur-day night. President Hanna Russon, of the M. I. A., announced that the next Fireside Chat will be held at the home of Miss Joyce Haslem. Has-lem. Miss Bculah Percival, of Ioka, will be the guest. The Fireside Fire-side Chats are held every other Sunday evening. Friday evening, October 11, the M.I.A. officers gave a party honoring Mrs. Adalinc Hartle. retiring president of the Bennett Young Ladies' Association. The M.I.A, officers presented Mrs. Hartle with a beautiful fountain pen in appreciation of the splen-' did work she has done. Mrs. 1 Hartle also wishes to extend her thanks to all the officers and teachers who cooperate so readily. Mrs. Hartle also states 'hat the young folks are to be congratulated for their fine support sup-port of M.I.A. work. Mrs. Mary Hamaker and son, Weston, made a trip to Tooele. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Houston made a trip to Los Angeles for ten days. . Relief Society president, Nellie Nel-lie Horrocks announced that Relief Re-lief Society conference will take place the 20th at Bennett. Acel Haslem left last Sunday for Provo to enter school at the B.Y.U. He will join his two sis-, ters, Misses Marie and Rcah, who are also attending the B.Y.U. |
