Mr. and Mrs. Howard Davenport Daven-port gave a party Sunday honoring honor-ing Mrs. Nina Chenney and Mr. Goldenbee of Los Angeles. The following were present: Mr. and Mrs, Guy Giles and family, De von Gentry and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Afton Richcns and family. Mrs. W. R. Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Davenport came from Los Angeles to stay while her husband is overseas. Pvt. Paul Felter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Felter is home on a furlough. Pfc. Lester Blanchard, wife of Mrs. Lester Blanchard, came last Wednesday from Germany. Sgt. Earl Campbell of Dug-way Dug-way spent the week end with his mother. Mrs. Leonal Bowden. The Ladies' Aide met Thursday Thurs-day and gave a party in honor of Mrs. Jimmic Tultle. The following fol-lowing were present; Mrs. A. O. Dart, Mrs. Carlos Clark, Mrs. W. J. and Mrs. Tom Gentry, Mrs. Bliss Lott, Mrs. Wm. Koehler, Mrs. W. E. Broome, Mrs. Wm. Jennings, Mrs. Leonard Potter, and Mrs. Lional Babcock. Refreshments Re-freshments were served. Pvt. Milton Brummett attached attach-ed to medical corp left Wednesday Wednes-day for St. Louis. Milton is being honored at a farewell party in Arcadia. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Odekirk of Salt Lake City were visiting Mrs. Odekirk's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Zirker last week. Mr. Odekirk is manager of Kress' in Salt Lake City. Georganna Fullmer was honored hon-ored with a birthday party at J the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Lehi Porritt July 23rd on her fifth birthday. After playing games for an hour, refreshments were served to the following: Dora LaRue Babcock, Ialien and Ray Bingham, Kenneth Lynn Taylor, Dixie Lee Oberg, Gary Young, Susan and Lena Crapo 'and Larry Fullmer. Sunday Dinner Mr. and Mrs. Bliss Lott gave a dinner Sunday in honor of her sister, Mrs. Alma Burdick of Fla, Those present were Miss Alice Todd and Mrs. Homer Robinson and Wilda Fay. ! Mr. and Mrs. Lee Cooper have bought the R. E. Miller home and are moving in this week. I Mr. and Mrs, Ed Zirker and family spent the 24th with Mrs. Zirker's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Smith. , Mrs. Andrew Talboe went to Salt Lake City Sunday to visit her daughter, Mrs. Dorthca Hall. Mrs. Afton Johanson of Provo came Sunday to visit her parents Mr. and Mrs. Brokaw for two weeks. Betty Roth of Vernal visited last week with her aunt and uncle, un-cle, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Koehler. Mr. and Mrs. George Roth came Sunday and took Betty home. Miss Ruby Solomonson and Miss Venice Nielson of Arcadia was visiting Mrs. Emery Nielson Monday. Homer Robinson went to Salt Lake City Sunday and got his daughter, Mrs. Wendall Workman Work-man and two small children to spend the 24th. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bingham Bing-ham and family moved to Drag-eerton Drag-eerton Sundav where Mr. Bing ham has employment. Syerl Dennis went to Walls-burg Walls-burg Saturday and brought his wife home. Mrs. Dennis has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs W. H. Whiting of Wallsburg. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Peterson and two children of California came Thursday to visit their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. N, L. Peter- son and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hancock. Han-cock. Mrs. Owen Jakman of Salt Lake City went home Monday. Mrs. Jakman has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Broome. Mrs. Annie Allen and daughters, daugh-ters, Leanna, Mrs. Helma Dowl-ing Dowl-ing and family and Mrs. Clyde Bingham came home from Salt Lake City Wednesday. Mrs. Leonard Harris went to Salt Lake City Friday to attend the wedding of their son, Preston Harris. Mr. and Mrs. Mat Uresk had the following guests for the 24th: Mr. and Mrs. John Kissman, Mrs. John Kissman of Helper and Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Kissman and daughter Tanna of Los Angeles. Mrs. Robert Zirker and baby, wife of LI. Robert Zirker, accompanied ac-companied by her brother, Lt. Gordon Klingler of Rexburg, Idaho, spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Zirker, Sr. Robert left for Germany July 15 where he will be assigned assign-ed to a hospital corp. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Harrison of Vernal visited Mrs. Harrison's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Smith over the week, returning home Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Harrison attended at-tended the funeral of Ornald De-'loy De-'loy Allred, son of Mrs. Esther Al-lred Al-lred Monday. Mrs. Smith is a sister sis-ter of Mrs. Allred. Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Mecham and Lawrence Merrick of Sunny-side Sunny-side were guests of Mr. and Mrs, Willard Smith the fore part of the week. Wallace Dennis, Max Jerson and Emery Nielson were fishing at Yellowstone Sunday. H.
