Belief society and Ladies Aid, to jjise funds for the paper for the boys in service. A large crowd responded. farewell Party A dance was held at the Oasis Thursday in honor of Sergeant Earl L. Campbell. Dancing was enjoyed by everyone. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served. Earl will leave for California soon. Delay Enroute Sergeant and Mrs. Blaine Tanner stopped and spent three days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Tanner while enroute or his station in the east. Home on Furlough A. C. Talboe, S. 2-c, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Talboe came home Friday from San Diego. V C. will leave Tuesday to visit his two sisters in Salt Lake and Ogden before leaving Wednes-day Wednes-day for San Diego. I Sergeant Lynn Campbell left .. .. ,W, Sunday to visit relatives in Salt Lake City. He was accompanied by his mother, Mrs, Lionel Bab-cock, Bab-cock, Mrs. Wm. Hullinger of Terrebonne, Oregon and Richard Rich-ard Hullinger of Salt Lake City. Birthday Dinner A chicken dinner was served Sunday in honor of Emery Niel-son'i Niel-son'i birthday anniversary. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Nielson and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird of Arcadia Arcad-ia ,Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Adams and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Adams and, children, Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holgate and granddaughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leandrew Gilbert of Arcadia, Mrs. Earl Hardinger and baby of Roosevelt, Acel Nielson and Th.ressa Nielson of Salt Lake and hostess, Mrs. Emery Nielson. Chicken dinner Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Clarke assisted by Mrs. Seth Campbell gave a chicken dinner Sunday in honor of Sergeant Earl L. Campbell. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Bowden, Mrs. Wm. Hullinger of Terrabonne, Oregon, Richard Hullinger of Pocattello and Miss June Mc-Clure Mc-Clure of Bennett. Earl Fowler of Orem came Saturday to get his wife and daughter. They have been visiting visit-ing Mrs. Louise Woods for a week. They returned home Sunday. Sun-day. Legion Meet Roland Krebs, District Commander Com-mander and Mrs. Grace Dal-gleish, Dal-gleish, Unit President, went to Moab to visit the County Post, and Unit 54. A banquet was served after which Mr. Krebs met with the Legion members, and Mrs. Dalgleish met with the Auxiliary members. Mr. Krebs gave a report on the Chicago convention. Private and Mrs. Martin J. Kavon were visiting Mrs. Wil-mcr Wil-mcr before leaving Thursday for Wisconsin. John L. Johnson went to Ogden Og-den last week to be with his brother. Max Johnson who is ill. Don Herbert went to Heber Sunday for medical treatment. Mrs. Reah Blanchard and son went to Salt Lake City Sunday to visit relatives. Miss June McClure of Bennett Ben-nett was a guest of Mrs. Lionel Bowden last week. Mrs. James Giles was operated on in the L D S hospital for goiter last Saturday and is doing do-ing fine. Mrs. Milan Bywaters is visiting visit-ing friends and relatives for a week. Mrs. Bywater is going to work at Hill Field. Mrs. Richard Hullinger and 2 children of Pocatello, Idaho, came Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Bowden. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Adams served dinner Thursday to the following: Mrs. Mary E. Young, Mrs. Kamer of Roosevelt and Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Adams and two children. |
