Show Legion, Auxiliary Installs Officers At Myton Meeting MYTON - American Legion and Auxiliary, Wm. R. Sands Post and Unit No. 5, held their regular meeting in the Barracks at Myton Friday evening. Special buisness included the installation installa-tion of newly elected officers. James Dalgleish installed the following Legion officers: Orval Gillen, commander1; Elmer Yer-gensen, Yer-gensen, 1st vice commander; Nick Odekirk, 2nd vice commander; comman-der; William Bork, sergeant-at-arms; Giles Wood, adjutant; William Harris, chaplain. A regular reg-ular business session concluded the meeting. The Auxiliary officers were installed in-stalled by Mrs. Pauline Hazel-bush, Hazel-bush, of Vernal, president of' District No. 5, Officers taking their oath were Gladys Dennis, president; Josephine Yergensen, 1st vice president; Alice Brum-mett, Brum-mett, 2nd vice president; Odie Hemphill, secretary - treasurer; Sarah Nielson, sergeant-at-arms; Phyllis Wood, historian; Mrs. Austin Brokaw, chaplain. A report on the national convention con-vention held in New York City in August was given by Mrs. Hazelbush, who attended the convention. con-vention. Regular order of business busi-ness disclosed that a poppy poster pos-ter submitted by LeRoy Tohon-nie, Tohon-nie, of the Myton school, received honorable mention in the poster contest. The meeting were adjourned to be convened again on Friday, Sept. 26, when members will enjoy en-joy a joint social session. |
