Show Funerals MINNIE ANN WOODARD (Mrs. Grace Dalgleish) Mrs. Minnie Ann -Woodard, 61, a former resident of this district, dis-trict, died Wednesday night, July 9, at the Utah Valley hospital, hos-pital, following a short illness. Born December 12, 1885 at Layton, she was a daughter of Thomas H. and Emily Oliver White. She was married to William Wil-liam M. Woodard, November 25," 1901, at Kamas, and shortly thereafter the family moved to the Uintah Basin, where they resided re-sided on a ranch near Upalco. Mrs. Woodard was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and served 12 years as president of the Primary of the Ioka ward. She also served as secretary of the Relief Society and was a member of the Stake Primary Board. Mr. and Mrs. Woodard moved to Provo a few years ago, where they have since made their home, Mrs. Woodard is survived by Her husband and five sons and five daughters: Clarence W. Woodard and Ralph L. Woodard, Wood-ard, of Myton; Karl 'M. Woodard, Wood-ard, Salt Lake City; Leo O. Woodard, Willis W. Woodard, Mrs. Neva E. Jackson. Mrs. Clara V. McCorquodale, Provo; Mrs. Rena M. Casper, Heber; Mrs. Hazel L. Seaman and Mrs. Nellie Howell, Steamboat Springs, Colorado; Col-orado; 28 grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers and four sisters: George White, Cache Valley; Jacob White, Garland; Gar-land; Archie White, Mapleton; Elijah White, Nevada; Mrs. Agnes Ag-nes Pace, Orem; Mrs. Nettie Ellis, El-lis, Layton; Mrs. Rose Donan, Ogden, and Mrs. Myrtle Hamilton, Hamil-ton, Midway. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Saturday in Provo, with Bishop Eccles Cameron officiating. officiat-ing. Burial was in the Provo City burial park. MRS. MARY MALNAR (By Ruth B. Jensen) Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Malnar were conducted Friday at 10 a. m. in the Neola ward chapel, with Bishop Lionel Jensen officiating. Speakers were Lavell Hor-rocks Hor-rocks and Wm, K. Dye. Special musical numbers were sung by a ladies double trio, with solos by Mary Leavitt and Lazelle j Henrie. ' All of Mrs. Malnar's children were present at the services except ex-cept her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Henderson, who was ill. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery at Salt Lake City, ' CARL A. BARNEY Funeral services for Carl A. Barney, 14, son of Ray W. and Florine Barney, of Leota, who was drowned while swimming near his home on July 11, were held Monday, July 14, at the1 Leota school house with Bishop Austin Wardlc conducting. Invocation was offered by Oliver Ol-iver Jorgenscn. Speakers were Ralph Durfee, Bishop Wardle, and Bishop C. F. Wahlquist. Musis Mus-is was furnished by Hazel War-die, War-die, Betty Jensen, Bishop War-i die, Bert Stoddard, Ralph Durfee, Dur-fee, Lula Dudley, Ruth Chand-j ler and Ira and Jessie Wilson. Benediction was by Lester Ga-gon, Ga-gon, and the grave was dedicated by Lyle Eklund. Pallbearers were: George Rogers, Alfred Rogers. Everett Barney, Fred Barney, Keith Gil-Ian Gil-Ian and Wm. Jorgensen. The funeral was under the direction di-rection of the Dillman Funeral Home of Roosevelt. Carl Barney was born December Decem-ber 15, 1932 in Uintah county. He spent his life at the Barney ranch in Leota, receiving his education ed-ucation in the Leota school. He met death while swimming with companions near his home. Death from drowing is believed to have been caused by cramps. He is survived by his parents; three sisters, Mrs. Keith Gillan, Sandy; Vonda and Gwenn Barney, Bar-ney, Leota; three brothers, Fred R., Albert and Axel Barney, of Leota. |
