Show Rites To Be Held For Milton Smith Milton D. Smith died at his home April 25 at 9:20 a. m. of pneumonia after three days of illness. Mr. Smith was born at Plain-,view, Plain-,view, Minnesota, November 11, 1866. He was one of a family of eight children, born to Mr. and Mrs. Agustus Smith. He started his Railway telegraph operator's career at the age of sixteen and remained at this until 1902, when he decided to try his hand at farming. He acquired the Henry Hen-ry R. Rhone homestead near Grand Junction, Colorado. He married Francis K. Bowman at Fort Collins, Colorado in 1904. The couple moved to the Uintah Basin in 1908. He is survived by his widow, a brother, L. R. Smith of St. Paul; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Geary and Mrs. Harriet Tupper. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 o'clock p. m. at the Ballard Ward hall. |
