Show 1 BLUEBELL Mrs. Anthony Pierce and daughter of Oakland, California visited on Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Hosea Lisonbee. They are enroute to Denver, Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Burdick of Duchesne visited in Bluebell on Friday. They also attended the funeral of Wallace Stevenson Steven-son on Sunday. Miss Bessie Lisonbee had the misfortune to break her arm on Sunday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Blanchard are now making their home in Bluebell. The bought the Roy Anderson home. They formerly resided at Provo, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Stone and son. Kay of Lehi visited relatives on Sunday and Monday. Harry and Franklyn Smith, Donna Hancock and Betty Lou Seeley, spent Saturday and Sunday Sun-day with their parents. All are employed in Salt Lake City. Mrs. DeEsta Goodrich and Mrs. June Hancock of Pocatello, Idaho accompanied ac-companied them to Bluebell to visit relatives. They all returned to Salt Lake Sunday evening, from there DeEsta and June returned re-turned to their home in Idaho. Mrs. Martha Smith was pleasantly pleas-antly surprised at her home on Thursday afternoon. The occas-sion occas-sion being her birthday. A delicious de-licious pot luck lunch was served serv-ed and some beautiful gifts were presented to the hostess. Guests present were Cora Wathen, Laura Seeley, Zella Goodrich, Vivian Powell, Agnes Lisonbee, Lucille Winkler, Mina Goodrich, Thelma Cook, Cle.ona Remington, Reming-ton, Garda Seeley, Sylvia Goodrich, Good-rich, Verona Winkler, Lila D. i Gale, Florence Hancock, Belle Bird, Calista Cook and Martha Smith. Martha Thorsen left on Thursday Thurs-day for Salt Lake City and 'Murray, 'Mur-ray, Utah where she will receive medical treatment. She will also visit relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Justin Winkler of Provo, were among those who attended Wallace Stevenson's Steven-son's funeral. Justin and Wallace were very close boyhood friends. The entire community was shocked on Friday morning when they learned of the death of Andrew Wallace Stevenson age 38. He died of cerebral hemorrhage. hem-orrhage. Wallace was preparing to go deer hunting with his son, Junior and 22 other men. All postponed their trip until after the services. They were all packed pack-ed and were going to leave Friday Fri-day morning. On Thursday evening even-ing at abo.ut 9.00 P. M. he was preparing for bed when stricken. He became unconscious and died at 2:00 o'clock A. M. Wallace has had poor health for many years. In spite of his physical handicap he has made a living for his family. He has served as deputy, water commissioner for the. upper country the past three years. He was one of the communities com-munities leading sportsmen. Wallace was born at Sunny-side, Sunny-side, August 1, 1907. A son of Andrew and Clara Allred Stevenson. Stev-enson. His parents preceded him in death. He has lived in Bluebell most of his life. He married Revella Kimball August 1, 1927. She died when their first baby boy was born on February 25, 1928. The baby also died. On April 29, 1929 her married Zola Wilson at Price, Utah. She and the following children rur-vive rur-vive him. Wallace Jr., Don and Clara. Also the. following sisters, Mary Stevenson of Roosevelt, Gladys and Nellie Stevenson of Price, Utah, and Hazel Goodrich of Bluebell. Funeral Services were conducted conduct-ed in the Bluebell Ward Chapel on Sunday at 2:00 P. M. with Bishop Bernard Winkler conducting; con-ducting; duet, Whispering Hope, Agnes Larsen and Thelma Cook; Invocation, Leslie B. Goodrich; duet, "Sometime Somewhere", Beth and Maxine Winkler; 1st speaker, Wm. Snyder; 2nd speaker, speak-er, President B. O. Colton; solo, Owen Goodrich, "In The Garden"; Gar-den"; 3rd speaker; quartet, "Rock Of Ages", Gardner Goodrich, Good-rich, Wm. O. Larsen, Thelma Cook, Agnes Larsen, Benediction Franklyn Smith. Interment was in the Bluebell cemetery. Otto O. Larsen dedicated the grave. |
