' degree in psychology. Following graduation, Treft was accepted by the University of Utah medical school, from which he graduated in the top percent of his class. Upon completing a rotating internship in-ternship in medicine and surgery, Dr. Treft was accepted into the ophthalmology residency training program at the University of Utah. While there, Treft served as chief resident of the ophthalmology service ser-vice for the Salt Lake Veterans Hospital, as well as the University of Utah. DR. TREFT has received extensive exten-sive training in the treatment of eye disease, examination for glasses, fitting of contact lenses and the correction of eye and eyelid problems prob-lems with medical and surgical techniques, including the latest microsurgical techniques. Interest areas for Dr. Treft include in-clude laser surgery for glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, eye muscle mus-cle alignment for crossed eyes, cataract removal and intraocular lens implantation and corneal refractive re-fractive and transplant surgery. TO BETTER accommodate the schedules of working families, Dr. Treft is taking appointments every Wednesday evening until 8 p.m. He will also take appointments on selected Saturdays from 8 a.m. until un-til noon. Treft currently resides in Bountiful with his wife and four children. |
