Show Uintah schools approve budget for year The Uintah School District Board of Education at Its reg-tiar Board Meeting June formally adopted Its school year budget totalling The total mill levy required to raise the necessary revenue totals 36 77 mills The school year mill levy is mills greater than last The breakdown of the mill le j in each category is as follows Maintenance-Operations 21 10 Capitol Outlay 2 17 Debt Service 5 Building Reserve The amount of revenue anticipated from local sources is revenue from state-sources revenue from sources revenue from food service non-revenue receipts l The Uintah School District overall school budget came out in the black Other matters of business which took place at this Board Meeting were as Ralph school presented preliminary drawings for a new A 1 terra Junior High School which is planned to be built near Todd Elementary School on the west side of Uintah County The Board did not make a decision as to whether they will plan to accept bids in the spring of 1961 for a portion of the ture necessary to house the junior or whether they would wait an additional Zealand proceed with the entire building This new school is to J Junior High School that is inadequate and The School District accepted la contract with Uintah County for health services for the I ing school The Board also gave for the Clerk-Treasurer of the Board to request bids to be opened at their next Board for fuel coal and The Board also formally signed a contract with Hogan and contractors of for the construction of the new Vernal Elementary New teaching contracts accepted were Esther Todd James Junior Mary Uintah High Shirley Alter-lra Junior Lee Central Ellen i Junior 1 Whiterocks Elaine and I Kay both Central Ele- At the present three I teaching positions still remain open in the Uintah School Dis-I which are first and second grades at Todd Elementary and Industrial Arts at ence who has been I Industrial teacher at the I Uintah High resigned from his position last week to a teaching assignment at the Tooele Ordinance The next regular meeting of the Uintah School Board will be held July at 8 p m in the School Board Office |
