Show Boyd Lee Nelson Succumbs At 55 t , 'J V -v 'ft Boyd Lee Nelson, age 55, died May 22, 1982 in Tabiona, Utah of a heart attack. He was born Nov. 13, 1926 in Logan, the son of Joseph Hyrum and Bessie (Beth) McBride Nelson. Nel-son. He married Lucile Hall March 19, 1948 in the Logan LDS Temple. HE SERVED in two LDS bishoprics and held other positions posi-tions in the LDS Church. He was in the High Priest group presidency of the Bountiful Utah Orchard Stake at the time of his death. He had worked at the Ogden Arsenal, the Burearu of Standards Stan-dards in Boulder, Colo.; Thiokol Chemical in Brigham City, the Defense Depot in Ogden and at Hill AFB. He had been an area manager of the U.S. Civil Service Commission Com-mission in SLC and retired from the Bureau of Reclamation Reclama-tion in August 1980. He had received many special awards BOYD L. NELSON for his work. At the time of his death he was working at Smoot Associates in Centerville. He had also served in the U.S. AF 1944-45 at Bozeman, Mont. SURVIVING is his wife of Bountiful; sons, Ronald B. Nelson, Bountiful; Don C. Nelson, Salt Lake City; daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Mark (Terrie Lee) Beichley, Lee's Summit, Mo.; Marie Nelson, Bountiful; eight grandchildren; his mother of Logan; brothers, Earl W. Nelson, Nel-son, serving an LDS mission in San Bernardino, Calif.; Cyril J. Nelson and H. Jay Nelson, both of Nibley, Ut.; sister, Mrs. La Von (Lois) Kendrick of North Ogden. He was preceded pre-ceded in death by a daughter, Joyce, and his father. Funeral services were held May 26 in the Orchard First Ward Chapel with interment in Bountiful Memorial Park under the direction of Lindquist Lind-quist Bountiful Mortuary. |
