Show University Of Utah Plans Special Classes For Summer teachers cope with the specific challenges of teaching, offerings intended to facilitate personal growth and professional development develop-ment abound. New for the summer of '84 are "Health Psychology: Dynamics of Lifestyle Change," "Talents Unlimited Unli-mited Creativity Workshop." a conference called "The Contexts of Literacy: Problems and Innovations Innova-tions in Reading," and "Principles and Practices of Outdoor Education." Educa-tion." PERENNIAL favorites include "Assertive Discipline in the Classroom." Clas-sroom." "Learning How to Learn," "The Celluloid Child," and "Employment Relations in Education." Summer at the University of Utah is the most popular quarter with local teachers, many of whom take advantage of their three months' vacation to go back to the classroom-but on the other side of the lectern. EDUCATION course offerings from the U's Division of Continuing Con-tinuing Education number over 100 for this summer, almost double the number of education courses offered during each of the other three quarters. Especially popular with teachers summer quarter are short, one or two aeek, intensive workshops offered from mid-June through the end of August. These workshops run every day all day long or for half a day. Credit is equivalent to quarter-long courses that meet one or two nights a week from June 26 to Aug. 15.
