Show BANQUET HELD HED FOR RET RING STAKE PRESIDENT A banquet and social was held at the randolph recreation hall last friday in honor of president tames james brown and athor ather woodruff stake officers who were recently released three hundred twenty ave persons attended the banquet a gorg gorgeous bous affair which was prepared lo 10 by the randolph relief society and consisted of turkey dreim dressing sing mashed potatoes gravey hot ot rolls salad pickles punch cake and ice cream i five tables the length of the entire hall ball were beautifully decorated in national colors red white and blue blae streamers ran through the center of each table red white and blue candles potted and cut flowers and american flaks competed the decorations president joseph 1 williams acted as aa toastmaster A very interesting program was rendered the main feature of the program w wa ia the presentation of the history of the church in six volumes by 13 H roberts to president james brown and the new book gospel standards to each of the other retiring officers president williams made the presentation speech and presented the looks boks to the following officers john neilson stake clerk lawrence B johnson david dean william johnson john R H W 11 phillips hillips hymn norris korris arthur mckinnon mcl innon george H bodine arthur barker and samuel re rex ret t flach each one ona gave an acceptance speech after the banquet and program the remaining time ewt was spent in dancin r it was pronounced one of the outstanding events of the season |
