Nord at Logan, Utah, that Orval Ei Winkler is b?ing transferred from Paris, Idaho, to Logan, Utah, that Orval E. WinKler is being transferred from Paris, Idaho, to Logan, Utah, to assume the duties of District Forest Ranger in charge of the Logan Iiiver District of the Cache National Forest with headquarters at Logan, which position was made vacant by the recent death of Forest Ranger Hopkin I. Rice. Mr. Winkler is a graduate of the Utah State Agricultural College, having received his B. S. dagree in 1932 and his M. S. degree in 1935. He has four years teaching experience in public schools in Utah, and during the field seasons of 1922, 1921, 1932 and 1933, was employed by the Forest Service in temporary capacities on road construction work, insect control work, and range studies conducted by the Forest & Range Experiment Station. In October 1934 he was appointed to the Biological Survey as Acquisition Aide and Assistant Land Negotiator. On Jannary 11, 1937, Mr. Walker transfererd to the Forest Service as Assistant Range Examiner, and on March 16 of the that year was promoted to the position of District Forest Ranger of the Paris District, Cache National Forest, with headquarters at Paris, Idaho. Mr. Winkler is being succeeded at Paris, Idaho, by Ranger J. B. Hann, from ChalLis, Idaho. Mr. Hann is coming to the Cache National Forest with a broad background of experience having served as District Ranger on the Blacksmith Fork District of the Wasatch National Forest for 6 or 7 years and also having worked on the Wyoming, Targhee, and Ohallis national fore ts.
