This will destroy the vegetable odor. Put a tablespoonful of salt and a tablespoonful of sal soda in an aluminum pan of hot water. Leave your silver knives, forks, and spoons in this for five or ten minutes and they will clean themselves. Even very dark silver almost immediately becomes bright without rubbing and scouring. Be sure, however, that the pan is aluminum. A brilliant luster may be given mahogany bedsteads by wiping them over with a cloth wrung out of cold water and rubbing to a high polish with a dry cloth. The rubbing should be continued until the polish comes back to the wood. Brass bedsteads may be cleaned by rubbing them with a cloth moistened with a very little salad oil. Then wipe off all the traces of the oil and poilsh with plenty of dry, clean dusters. Miss La Vein kpiouse returned to Salt Lake City, wiiere sue will resume her studies iu beauty culture at the. Salt is really one of our handiest remedies and one of the eaisest to apply. As an antiseptic it extracts the soreness and ache from affected parts. It is also a bracer for tired eyes. Give them a bath six or eight times a day in luke warm salt water. If you have a cold starting, snuff salt and water up nose, and gargle. Salted warm water sometimes relieves local pains when used externally .It is claimed that it will sometimes relieve toothache, but most of us rather feel that our friend the dentist is about the only one who can .take care of this particular ache. Salted popcorn sometimes relieves Here car sickness and again, however, we shall allow you to nod your head negatively. It may be that you are one of those people who insists upon getting seasiqk no matter what you take or do.
