| Show HEALTH OFFICERS TO HOLD MEETING september bulletin shows small death rate in this county the bulletin of the state board of health for september shoes deaths in the state for the month from all causes of this number seven deatha ire are reported from sevier county which shows a remarkably low death rate the ahe most prolific causes of illness were diphtheria ard typhoid fever there were ten of 0 the former and seven of the latter but only one death resulted from the former and no deaths from the latter caulp five of the districts in the county had no deaths to report that month and the seven deaths reported are scattered over as many districts this is 13 an excellent showing for the health of this county the state health board has issued the following call for fora a meeting of the health officers salt lake city oct 27 1909 to herlth heil he il th officers the annual meeting of health officers as provided for in chapter 53 laws of utah 1907 will be held beld november it is hoped that this meeting wil wi be made of the possible benefit to the health interests of the state and nd to this enda full attendance is 19 ape expected bcd it will be noted b health of ficeri that their expenses shall be defrayed by the proper authorities the law docs not apply to local registrars rg except in cases where they are also appointed and serving as health officers an interesting program will be presented and it is hoped that all will come prepared pre odred to discuss the problems which arise in connection with their duties as health offic officers tirs yours very truly T B BEATTY |
