Show OLD FOLKS ARE entertained religion class of third ward tenders banquet to the aged members of the ward the entertainment given eiven by the re dizion class workers of the third ward on tuesday in honor of the old folks of the ward was one of the most enjoyable emoy able events ever given eiven here the assembly room of the church was used as the banquet room and four long lone table tilled filled the floor around which the honored aged aeed guests were seated the entertainment opened with a selection by the ward choir the members of which were also guests of honor followed by an address addres ot of welcome by bishop coons the banquet was wag then served and never was there a better menu served in the ward than that at tuesdays the waitresses were the dainty misses of the religion reli eion class led on by their teachers mrs angus fillmore janie ogden and laurel mccarty and other assistants every wish of the guests was anticipated and every want crati gratified fied the members of the choir were groaned around a federate seo se erate table at the east side bide of the room As soon as the banquet was over the choir members were again called into service and an excellent program was rendered musical numbers were given bt bi elvira jensen mrs caries hansen mrs george georee mrs W H robinson mrs andrew mils sen mrs charles ogden elvdia bean and rebecca peterson toasts toast were responded to by mrs aneus anau fillmore W H dark clark nellie simon chri teneen john hood and W H H H J 1 hansen presided as master of monies and he filled the position in an admirable mann k of t me tie im embea mem bes oi 01 tile tiie ward placed themselves their horses and carriages at the disposal of the committee to convey tha old people to and from the church it was a splendid fanfair faff affair air and great credit is due the religion reli eion class workers headed by mrs angus aneus fillmore and the old folks committee headed by H J hansen L P hansen and janie |
