Show ANNABELLA ANNABELL A JURS 11 P christensen correspondent the M I 1 A conjoint meeting was held sunday evening w with th mrs J B and bliss daniels era directors in charge the following program was given talks mr daniels and mists miss edna gleave M I 1 A theme lead by mrs elton roberts retold story mrs fred gauchat vocal solo A perfect day ammon roberts community singing was vas under direction of mrs elton roberts with miss rhea roberts as accompanist honoring mrs may black of los angeles mr and mrs R H poole entertained at a party at their home wednesday bifid friends from richfield Richtie ld glenwood Glen and venice were entertained the evening was spent playing games digging dinging singing and recalling old times mrs black and her sister mrs brugger left thursday for salt lake to attend conference the annabella ward vard relief society held open house at the wa ward rd chapel friday afternoon in honor of the two oldest residents of the co community mm unity mrs sarah B and herbert gleave aunt sadie as mrs is affectionately called by all members of the ward came to annabella in 1885 with her husband who had been called to be bishop of the ward she was president of the primary for a number of years and served as relief society president for 19 years mr gleave moved to annabella in 1871 and has been active in church and civic affairs he was a faithful and talented choir leader for 15 years and was a member until recently he was school trustee from the time a school was opened here until the district was consolidated he served as secretary and treasurer of the annabella canal company for 60 years he is the father of 14 children hundreds of friends called during the afternoon to greet the honor guests mr and mrs herbert gleave spent sunday at payson as guests of mr and mrs T H wilson A large group of friends from here went to monroe monday to attend the funeral of J E magleby |
