Show obit obituaries u a ri e 19 JOHN F DAVIS funeral services were held sun 1 lay day afternoon in the annabella A iwho I 1 who died of pneumonia thursday I 1 at his home in annabella the services were in charge of the ward bishopric speakers were mrs sarah B john L vy jr of richfield and ip L fill more musical numbers were furnished by the ward choir A quartet composed of bliss daniels H clynn thurston mrs albeit H hooper oo 00 and mrs airs sam mecham sang 0 one ne selection A duet was sung by mrs airs elton el ton roberts and W S daniels interment was in the annabella cemetery arthur C lundgreen of the south sevier stake presidency dedicated the grave mr air davis was born bom june 17 1880 at st george a son of john E and rosetta barney davis the family moved to annabella when he was a small boy mr davis drove the mail truck between richfield and annabella for 30 years As a young man he married sabra roberts in the mantl L D S temple after her death 19 years ago lie he married mrs airs clara E ne bokar surviving besides his widow are arc four children by the faist marriage elwood davis and mrs airs leo dalton of annabella mrs elwood anderson and mrs airs frank johnson of monroe three grandchildren grad children and the following bi others and sisters mrs airs J lynn gleave mrs H F roberts and mrs airs frank gleave of i annabella L E davis of richfield and perry davis of salt lake JOHNSON funeral services were held tuesday afternoon in the richfield second ward chapel for martin johnson 85 who died at his home here saturday morning of a lingering illness bishop le lc grande C frank presided at the services speakers were W A sevier stake clerk patriarch H J hansen dr T R gledhill of the stake presidency and bishop frank A quartet composed of mrs D E mrs glen meyer talmage de lange and howard B mendenhall sang two selections 1 I know that my redeemer lives and aneed 1 I need thee every hour other musical numbers were a vocal solo face to face by mrs airs L A poulson and a vocal solo whispering hope by mrs glen meyer for which mrs lamont lament beutler and glen meyer played the piano and violin accompaniment the invocation was by jas B morrison the benediction by bv john dastrup L P hansen dedicated the grave interment being in the richfield cemetery eme tery pallbearers Pall bearers were members of the seventies to which mr johnson belonged 1 mr johnson was born bom june 21 1853 at Heden marken norway As a young man he was in the military service in norway for 7 years he learned the carpentry trade in his native land and was active in the trade for many years after coming coining to this country mr johnson married anna marie mahe olsen in may 1874 in norway five of their eight children were ere born in norway they came to utah as L D S converts in 1884 and settled in richfield after his cifes death mr johnson again married but his second wife mrs mra euza ellza lund johnson also preceded I 1 him in death I 1 surviving are arc three sons sona and two daughters by the first marriage ole johnson of los angeles 1 martin and jos B johnson of richfield mrs johanna christen i sen and mrs agnetta charles of los log angeles and three sons and a daughter by the second marriage evan leonard and monte johnson johnann all of richfield and mrs ellen gurr A number of grandchildren survive |
