Show high schools complete plans for district music A festival at monroe public urged to attend assembly parade track events added attractions it is expected that over a thousand nd students and a large number of school patrons from neighboring towns will attend the annual high school music festival to be held at monroe friday april 22 the festival is being sponsored by the south sevier high school band and orchestra association and the south sevier high school student body in cooperation with the music departments and student body groups from the richfield and north sevier high schools invitations have been extended to diute piute and wayne high schools to participate the program is announced as fa follows bilows 9 a m orchestras richfield and mi monroe onroe 10 a m mass assembly 1145 a m bands salina richfield I 1 and monroe 2 p m parade and posture parade demonstrations 3 p m track meet salina richfield and monroe solos vocal and instrumental e choruses and small ensemble groups will be presented while the above program is being carried out according to the festival committee cittee chairman douglas liston listen there will be a complete day of musical entertainment this will be the first music festival to be held at the south sevier high school and efforts will be made to make the program entertaining to all who attend no ratings will be given con te stants but judges will be asked to keep records and submit comments to instructors superintendent A J ashman reports in charge of festival arrangements are the following douglas liston listen music instruct i or chairman of the south sevier high school dallin S nielsen music instructor chairman for the richfield high school C IV sorensen music instructor chairman for the north sevier high school adjudicators J W mcallister 4 of dixie college st george wesley pearce provo high school provo J J keller brigham young university provo norman weight high school parowan carowan Pa rowan music festival committee douglas liston listen claone johnson reeve hansen monroe |
