Show blasses aa i nl we to 2 start monday 25 men apply for instruction under adult education program electric and acy telene welding classes will be started monday april 11 in richfield under the adult education program it was announced wednesday by glen nielson vocational coordinator who has been working on the project under sponsorship of the sexier sevier district board of education mr morgan formerly employed as a welder at boulder dam I 1 and considered an expert in this line will be the instructor he is now in richfield and will have eight welding machines here for the work by friday night mr morgan gave a course in welding at ogden the past two months twenty five men and boys have made anade application to take the course and applications are still coming in mr nielson reports others interested te rested may contact mr nielson at the offices of the sevier district board of education persons taking the course willbe will be charged a fee to cover cost of welding rod and electricity and a little depreciation cost on the machines all instruction costs will be paid by vocational funds the course which vill last two months will be strictly practical each man will have an individual machine to use and will spend 90 per cent of his time in actual welding practice and the rest in a study of related work afternoon and evening alases will be held the course should equip students to work in the trade or at least accept apprentice jobs mr nielson states assurance has been given by the employment office here that every effort will be made to place men in employment who complete the course arrangements have been made to hold bold classes in the fire department station on main street |
