Show R H S wins bookkeeping contest events hinckley richfield and millard high schools carried off the majority of the honors in the annual snow college district commercial contests held thursday under direction of chas A wall contest manager one hundred and ninety contestants from 11 high schools of the snow college district participated first and second year bookkeeping contests were won by the richfield high school the first year team composed of james ne beker ruth Ra amussen norma jensen tom hunt burke andreason and don johnson won with a point average the second year team composed of ned knaphus ernest ogden helen benham and millie lou bell won with a point average for first place individual honors in first year bookkeeping james of richfield was one of the four students that tied for first place each making a total score of points out of a possible tom hunt of richfield placed second with points in second year bookkeeping individual honors ned knaphus of richfield placed first with out of a possible points second place bein being gwon won by fumio mizuno of hinckley with points and third by helen benham of richfield with points the hinckley high school teams won first and second year typewriting events with a net average of and respectively richmond anderson of richfield placed first in individual honors in the first year typewriting with 67 net words per minute all other typewriting events were won by hinckley except third year or amateur typewriting which was won by millard high school hinckley and millard won the shorthand events the annual high school day at snow college will be held friday april 16 according to H R christensen general chairman |
