| Show ILL UTAH civic askea TO lg should submit interesting descriptive or photographic Photograph i C literature it is urged that all chambers of commerce civic clubs travel promotion in organizations and any other organizations or individuals forward at least two copies of descriptive crip tive or photographic literature forth the attractions of the state to the united saes tourist information office 1604 TJ S court house foley square new york city this bureau which has been established by the national park service to distribute travel information in a tion to the public is anxious to receive such literature together with a notification as to the quantity of each which is available for public distribution they would also like to obtain reference books as they have frequent calls from writers who use their to write travel articles on the united states for publication here and abroad information is requested on state parks pageants rodeos festivals fairs sports recreation centers camping facilities hiking trails events mineral springs etc the united states tourist information office has been established by the national park service to coordinate efforts of the federal government and of the 48 states tates in public education concerning science health historical and recreational opportunities of their respective areas it is to serve as a central distributing bureau to which the public may apply for recreational literature of all state and federal areas the office will also act as distributing headquarters for all literature maps motion pictures prepared by state publicity bureaus the national park service and other federal departments and will cooperate with transportation companies and travel agencies to increase travel and improve travel facilities inasmuch as the purpose of this organization is to stimulate the flow of tourist travel between states and to distribute attractive literature both here and abroad it is to the advantage of all who are interested in the recreational development of utah to cooperate all information may be sent to the united states tourist information bureau or to the utah state planning board state capitol building salt lake city utah |
