| Show LOCAL CIVIC 01 S HEHE funeral to be held saturday afternoon for mrs C A mattsson mrs nora beal mattsson 58 wife of forest supervisor C A mattsson passed away at the sevier valley hospital in richfield at 1015 a m wednesday mrs mattsson was born february 13 1879 at ephraim she was the daughter of the late henry beal first mayor of ephraim president of the snow normal college and a member of the stake presidency of the sanpete stake and mrs christena byergo beal mrs airs mattsson when a girl attended the public schools of ephraim and the snow normal college for one year she made her home with the L P christensen family of brigham city and during this time studied music under the christensen brothers and squire coop on february to 10 1904 she married C A mattsson mattason the ceremony being performed in the mantl manti temple they then made their home in salina until 1922 except for brief periods during which they lived in panguitch ogden and salt lake city in 1922 the family moved to richfield where mrs mattsson has since resided at the time the north sevier stake was organized mrs mat mattsson ass on served as first counselor to the stake president of the young ladles ladies mutual improvement association and later was appointed president of this organization since coming to richfield she had been a ward teacher of the relief society and during 1934 and 1935 was assistant teacher of the theological class during 1936 she served L in the capacity of first counselor to the president of the second ward relief society she was a charter member of the club of salina and for many years had been a member of the study club of richfield she is survived by her husband two sons wayland mattsson executive assistant on the ashley forest vernal and carvel mattsson county attorney of sevier county one sister and three brothers mrs airs C ray evans of coalville Co alville dean T A beal and dr ow owen e n F B beal e at of the university of utah salt lake city and orson beal of merrill oregon and by two grandchildren burke mattsson and marilyn mattsson funeral services will be held in the second ward church at richfield on saturday march 13 at 2 p m |
