Show funeral held at monroe friday for annie L magleby funeral services for mrs airs annie L magleby Magi eby who died november 27 at the home of her daughter air mrs dan washburn Wash bum were hold held in the monroe south ward chapel friday with feraldo nielson of the ward bishopric in charge speakers were nephi H nelson who spoke of mrs Magle bys early life and of his association with her and heber swindle who referred especially to her home life and related many interesting events which portrayed her fine character qualities As the opening song the choir sang ang 0 my father with thomas ransom as soloist the choir sang in the upper gardens lawrence clifford and niel jones sang as a trio that wonderful mother of mine the closing song sometime well understand was by the choir the invocation was by bishop arthur lundgreen Lund grcen the ben benediction diction by J E magleby james brown dedicated the grave interment being in the monroe cemetery mrs magleby was born bom in jyl linge denmark january 8 1875 she joined the L D S church in her native land being baptized december 28 1881 and came to sevier county shortly after with a younger sister mrs 0 C larson of salt lake city she was married to H 0 magleby in the endowment house in salt lake city may 8 1884 after which she made her home at ephraim until 1898 when she moved to monroe where she had since resided she was a faithful church member and a i devoted mother she was the mother of four children three of whom survive mrs dan washburn of monroe mrs chester christensen of richfield and mrs J L jones of salt lake city sixteen grandchildren one great grandchild and two sisters survive also besides members of the family and friends from neighboring towns the following were in monroe for the services dr and mrs J L jones and two sons from mrs 0 M larson of salt lake city mrs C L christensen of ephraim mr and mrs H M christensen of deaver beaver and mrs airs fred koch of portland oregon |
