| Show resolutions of bar to memory of S K hep heppler pier A mighty tree crashing in ae the forest makes no sound unless there is an ear to hear our senses perceive but mere frag ments of what transpires within our immediate presence say nothing of what occurs throughout the universe our perceptions are negligible li our understandings vague and by reason of our frailties and deficiencies we can not comprehend the involved and com complicated cicat T workings the irrevocable decisions the decrees of the ruler of the universe and whereas through the op oration of this divine will which even with our feeble understanding we recognize as aa higher than any directed by human wisdom and through a plan which we can but dimly perceive the hand of death has been laid upon a fellow member of this group calling our great and estimable friend to practice before an higher court and removing from human associations and from the paths baths trod and from the emp rises of men our intimate loyal and worthy associate sterling K hoppler heppler whereas sterling K heppler was one of the founders af this association and was secretary thereof from its organization until his removal from this area that through his suggestion and example the standard of the bar was materially improved and elevated to an higher pedestal and whereas through our association we learned to value highly hla his exemplary and forward looking life and inspiring personality to appreciate and reverence him for his manly uprightness of character his singleness of devotion to the fine ideals of life his hia untiring impersonal loyalty to his clients and friends and whereas we became conscious of hla his methodical orderly n mind his power for organization and execution ec ution lils hla meticulous thoroughgoing insistence on correctness in all details his industry his integrity teg rity his ambition his desire to improve his intellect in all things germane to human endeavor his fort forthrightness rightness his utter lack of evasion subterfuge or hypocrisy his adjustment to the universe for these things we admire and appreciate him and sense that all who came within contact with his views and life were definitely affected and bene fitted thereby we are assured that he still carries on 04 with his power of mind his ability to conquer adversity to overcome a obstacles which would ovi overpower lr punier men to make the I 1 mind the through superior to all a man of able thought and noble action his analytical systematic mind proceeds along the way which leads to eventual and ultimate berbec perfection p t ion and whereas recognizing these qualifications these attributes we sense a profound loss and irreparable injury a stunning crushing and relentless blow in effecting his speedy and untimely removal from this sphere of action and being appraised of his Nib worth rth his ability his capa capacity Ity his orderliness his human understanding wholesome and commendable life and service therefore be it resolved that we cherish so ion longas T life shall endure the association the character the attainments scholastic ability and other ideals exemplified in the life of sterling IC ac heppler and solicit for ourselves and our future associates the possession at all times of friends who encompass these ideals and qualifications ficat ions tons and be it resolved that we appreciate that the loss suffered by the family and friends in surprising removal can only be mitigated by the expressions of admiration and respect from his friends and be it resolved that we humbly acquiesce in this divine decree that has been so summarily visited upon our friend and former associate te being grateful for the memory of a fine impressive acquaintance which cannot be erased d removed or swept aside by the dark angel of death and be it resolved that these resolutions be spread at large on the minutes of this organization and a copy thereof be forwarded to the wife and family of the departed and that a copy be prepared for publication on the local press plainly evidencing the esteem in which decedent was waa held by all who knew him SIXTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT BAR association by henry E beal president |
