| Show JOSEPH 0 ALLEN DIES SUDDENLY OF ATTACK funereal held wednesday in se second cond ward interment at manti joseph B allen alien 52 died of a sudden heart attack at his home here sunday he had seemed in normal health and was mowing his lawn when he be was mr allen alien was born december 5 1881 at birmingham england he came to this country as a young man and for some time made his home at nephi later he moved to mammoth where he was married to elizabeth forsey september 5 in 1929 the family came to richfield where mr allen alien has been connected with and ice plant and distributing businesses busl nessa surviving are the widow one son kenneth J allen alien two daughters grace jensen of M manti anti and mrs george young of richfield two brothers wilford allen alien of salt lake and alva allen alien of los angeles three sisters mrs bernetta olsen oisen of santaquin San mrs amy bates and mrs claytie lemon of silver city and an aunt mrs thomas of nepal funeral services were held wednesday afternoon in the second ward chapel with bishop W L warner wamer in charge speakers were roy maller mailer of mantl manti G W coons D C forsey and newell K young all of whom stressed mr allen aliens character traits of honesty and dependability and the pleasantness of disposition which won for him many friends musical numbers were the selections always with Us by a quartet composed of mrs helen poulson mrs florence anderson H B mendenhall and lynn W fawns one fleeting hour a vocal solo by mrs poulson the perfect day by mrs poulson mrs anderson and mrs margaret blomquist stanley R brain played a piano selection as the second number the invocation was by J L sevy jr the benediction by C W powell jr interment was in the manti cemetery A large number of relatives and friends attended the services and sent beautiful floral tributes |
