buy the water the importance of obtaining sufficient water to mature the crops was emphasized by mr jensen chairman of sevier county commissioners he also suggested a method by which the millard county people might be furnished water in exchange for that turned over to sevier farmers near salina he said the sevier river and the salina creek have spread out over such a large area that hundreds of acres of land are covered with water not only increasing evaporation but also creating an unhealthy condition this condition can be remedied by dredging the river channel for a distance of four or five miles thus draining thousands of acre feet of water from the swamp lands that will run off into the millard county regions according to mr jensen he added that the beet crop is the ony cash crop
