Show Founder's Banquet Fetes BCT Supporters On September 9th A product of considerable commitment, devotion, hard work and sacrifice, the Bountiful Bounti-ful Community Theater (BCT) is now a firmly established entity en-tity of local performing arts. This has been a volunteer community com-munity effort by those who recognize and appreciate the value of local live theater and the utilization of the vast talent pool available in the Bountiful area. THE FACT THAT Bountiful does have an established community com-munity theater group presenting present-ing an annual agenda of theatrical theat-rical productions is the end result re-sult of many hours and a lot of hard work on the part of hundreds hun-dreds of people. This collective effort will be recognized at the Bountiful Community Theater's Founder's Found-er's Day Banquet to be held Friday, Sept. 9, 6:30 p.m. in the theater's new home in the 5-Points Mall. DR. WHITNEY Young, chairman of the event, reports that invitations have gone out to the performers, producers, directors and technical people involved in past Bountiful Community Theater productions, produc-tions, as well as past chairpersons, chairper-sons, committee members and Guild members. "We want to recognize and honor those who have given so much of themselves to bring live theater to Bountiful, providing pro-viding a showcase for talent and the opportunity for those talents to be shared for the entertainment en-tertainment and edification of the community," said Dr. Young. PHYSICAL arrangements and decorating for the banquet are being handled by Marjean Stubbs. The dinner, which will be catered, is being arranged for by Norma Jensen. Ron and Mary Boswell prepared the invitations in-vitations and Marge Van Steenwyk researched and compiled the extensive mailing mail-ing list. An entertaining program consisting of excerpts from premier BCT productions as well as an introduction of the cast and excertp from BCT's upcoming production "Life With Father" will be presented. pre-sented. , A TENTATIVE list of those on the program includes: Dave Hill (Carousel), Iva Lee Egan, (Hello Dolly), Mary Beth Wynder and Gordon Johnson (Oliver) and Maria Brimley and Kim Burningham (How to Succeed). There will be a charge of $6 per person and those attending should confirm their reservation reserva-tion as soon as possible. The dinner will start at 6:30 p.m. It will provide an opportunity for all who attend to see the Bountiful Boun-tiful Community Theater's new home donated for the group's use by the owners, manager and Merchants Association Asso-ciation of the 5-Points Mall. |
