A ladies quartet composed of mrs airs minnie sylvester misses mina and thelma bell and madge gray with mrs lillian jensen as accompanist comp anist sang two numbers A vocal duet duct was rendered by the misses thelma and mina bell a vocal solo by mrs minnie sylvester a violin solo by miss irene stewart of richfield rich field with mrs airs J G hilgendorf at the piano patriarch J I 1 jensen and J L staples were the speakers the invocation was offered by hans hermanson and the benediction by soren soran hermanson floral tributes covered the bier the pallbearers pall bearers were A D lorenson hans lorenson A F kotter floyd kotter arnold lorenson and william lorenson the grave was dedicated by bishop H J kotter A large number of out of town people were in attendance at the funeral T mrs mena wilhelm Wilhel ensen lorenson passed away at her home monday afternoon after an illness of three years she was born april 21 24 2 1 while her parents who had coined the L D S church in their native land denmark were crossing the plains it was on this journey that the father lars Wilhel Wilbel contracted pneumonia and died leaving ing the mother and baby to continue the journey alone arriving in utah they settled at mt pleasant at the age of seventeen the daughter married andreas lorenson of scipio and moved to elsinore in 1876 where she has since since resided her husband died in 1908 surviving are a son william lorenson one daughter mrs minnie L kotter eight grand children all of elsinore and two sisters mrs airs annie hermansen of elsinore EI and mrs marie nielson of richfield SH genealogical program A program was given sunday night under the direction of the genealogical committee with chairman N P anderson in char charge 9 e the speakers were mrs airs eva brown of elsinore and devon ford of richfield lavon marquardson qu gave a musical reading miss ruby thurber of richfield rendered two vocal solos with her sister miss lerina lenna as accompanist and miss anna laura staples played a piano selection andrew hansen and son thad accompanied by mr hansens father james hansen of redmond and rex smith returned sunday from a weeks pleasures at fish lake mr and mrs J H olson with their son jack and daughter gene of salt lake city arrived saturday for a weeks visit with the parents of mrs airs olson mr and mrs airs J W sylvester they were accompanied by miss portia sylvester who has spent the p past st two months in salt lake city draper and bingham visiting relatives bertha bridges returned to salt lake city saturday after a two weeks visit here with her parents mr air and mrs roy bridges mr and mrs airs J H had as house guests the first of the week mr air and mrs airs H mer ostlund and daughters ann mary and theadora and son raymond of raymond canada the visitors left for their home tuesday except miss mary who stopped at manti where she will teach school mrs and mrs ostlund are sisters all Ms r lillie hunt entertained at dinner saturday for mr and mrs elvan and family of monroe mr air and mrs loral jensen of richfield mr and mrs john anderton and family claud bowns and family mr and mrs andrew hansen had as dinner guests sunday mr hansens father james hansen of redmond mrs airs alfred bell of monroe thomas lund lamar powell and paul larson of salt lake city mrs olive hansen returned friday from a short trip to the state capital where she ore dered her fall line of millinery and ladies ready to wear goods mrs air s T E douglas and daughters betty jane and nancy ann of salt lake city were weekend guests at the home of mr and mrs john busk parents of mrs douglas clifford johnson arrived saturday from los angeles for a two weeks visit with his parents mr air and mrs alfred johnson margaret and rhoda daughters of mr and mrs johnson came from salt lake city for a short visit also mrs air john busk entertained at an afternoon luncheon friday the occasion occasion of her birthday anniversary thirty six guests participated out of town guests were mrs air s joseph peterson mrs airs niels peterson Pc terson and miss della delia peterson of richfield Rich neld and mrs airs T E douglas of salt lake city claud bell arrived from caliente nevada the last of the week for a few days visit he is in the employ of the los angeles and salt lake railroad claud is a member of th the e railroad shop band that participated in a band contest held at ogden august 15 and 16 the band will take part in the boulder dam celebration the last of the month mr and mrs rae rac de dc duscha of delta are arc guests at the horne home of mr and mrs alma frandsen mrs melba jensen entertained at a family dinner saturday in celebration of her birthday anniversary mr and mrs hyrum lee of glenwood spent sunday at the home of mrs C K christensen steiner busk and deon nielson narrowly escaped injury saturday night when their car collided with a car driven by mr kennedy of aurora kennedy was on the wrong side of the road with only one dim light and busk failed to see the car two of the occupants of the kennedy car received minor cuts both cars were damaged considerably mrs airs dona jensen entertained a crowd of little folks at a birthday party friday afternoon honoring her small daughter dorothy may miss eileen christensen who has spent the summer at los angeles arrived home tuesday she was accompanied by her sister madge
