Show SUCCESS CH OWNS r F A AND SONS BAN event to become annual activity for future farmers the future farmers of america a chapter of a national organization organized at the richfield high school under leadership of the smith hughes instructor john R adams held a fathers and sons banquet at the high school wednesday evenin evening it was an outstanding S success ces ninety fathers and sons participated in the event which will become an annual function as a final windup wind vind up of each years work for the F F A rex lowe president of the chapter welcomed the guests short hort toasts were given by reed thurston dean isbell rodney rickenbach and lee porter to which responses were nere made by john of ann annabella abella george nielson of central elmer sorensen of glenwood 1 I W of venice and J F ogden of 0 f richfield the official presentation of the chapter was made by superintendent A J ashman who gave a splendid talk the chapter president briefly reviewed the years activities and john R adams instructor told of plans for next years work thirty boys were installed in the first degree of the chapter the green hand for which pins were awarded sixteen boys were installed in the second degree that of future Fari farmers nem and pins awarded accordingly the pledge of allegiance completed the program musical numbers during the evening wele instrumental selections under direction of wm win mccoard the banquet was prepared by the home economics department of the high school the banquet tables were decorated with spring flowers it was announced wednesday that the final activity for the F F A this season will be the annual tour of outstanding industries in sevier county on may 13 the tour will be made during the foie forenoon noon and in the afternoon the boys will attend the black and white day pro program ram at venice where there will te be stock judging and other events of special interest to the future farmers |
