problems and community programs of agricultural ri improvement or the righting of local conditions are handled through farm budeau committees the slogan of better daims better homes and better living is the job of farm bureau in each local unit these local farm bureau units of the county aie federated together to form the cache county farni farm bureau whose function it is to decide upon and work out a county agricultural program upon luch all lo 10 local cal farm bureaus can cooperate to review in detail the accomplishments of this organized effort on the part of the farmers of cache county and point out the activities of the farm bureau in the promotion pio pion motion lotion of a bigger and better agriculture for the county would be an interesting study for the purpose of this article the past decade has been a consistent improvement in the quality uniformity and crop yields fields of these grains through the persistent efforts and the careful cooped ahon of the farm bureau organizations with the extension ser service serice ice of the utah agricultural college the wheat growers of the county have hane come to realize the importance of confining then efforts to a few standard varieties of high quality wheat for winter varieties two standard grains are planted almost wholly in the county these abc the hard turkey ked and gold cold coin a soft winter wheat both of those these varieties arie ties aie known to be giaino of a high milling quality the spring wheat grow era have hae almost universally concentrated their efforts on two other standard stan stand daid will probably pio bably find our county well supplied with certified bailey for all our seeding requirements estimates indicate that cache county will produce bushels of bailey this year which will be baiely sufficient for our dairy and poultry needs sugar beets the farm bureaus relation rca tion to the permanent development and stabilizing of the sugar beet industry in cache county is well known
