Show B H G WESTERN WILL INSTALL BUS foffi changes contemplated in passenger and express service M C nelson chairman of tile the committee on industries of the richfield commercial club reported at the commercial club luncheon held monday the interview his committee had with the officials of the denver rio grande western railroad company in the matter of changes in transportation intended by the rail load compana compa nw according to this report the railroad lail road company intends to lun a daily passenger pas sanpei and express bus between salt lake city and marysvale Marys vale and return and also a daily freight bus between the two points the passenger train now running the sanpete sevier division will be taken off from manti south and an additional passenger arid and mail bus will run from manti to marysvale Marys vale and return heavy freight will be transported the same as now by freight trains running to marys vale and a similar schedule as freight trains are running now three times a week mr nelson stated that according to the explanations given by the railroad officials the new order of things will be an advantage to richfield in regard to passenger transportation por tation because people will prefer to go by bus instead of by train and in regard to minor freight shipments because tile the bus will deliver freight at the addressees door the only disadvantage will be that the mail from points north will be received about two hours later than under the present system the railroad company will start the new serice ce as soon as the necessary busses and trucks can be obtained which will be not later than by the first of the year |
