Show m U IT tr r FIM IN V N IT thousands of farmers from all parts of state are in attendance th tha amal colv convention antion of the utah state farm bureau is being held at provo january 24 25 and 26 at the B Y university the convention of bureau is the largest and most representative agricultural gathering of the state farmers and their vivas ives conie come from every corner of the state and some from neighboring states the program for this years convention is a broad con comprehensive one and of vital importance to the agricultural industry of the state sam H Tho president of the national farm farin bureau federation was the main speaker of the afternoon session on january 25 C F brown of arizona known as farmer fanner brown in agricultural circles throughout the united states is the principal speaker on the morning OF of january 25 speakers included president F S hairis of the B Y U W W owens county agent leader mayor alma van wagener of provo and geo A christensen the boys and girls of the sta state te are being recognized at this convention the afternoon session of the second day being devoted to the activities tivi ties of the junior farm bureau which is composed of the smith hughes workers and tile the 4 11 club workers mrs rena B maycock and dr D P murray of the U A C and L R humphreys state di lector of vocational education in agriculture are directing the program for that session thursday evening january there was a big farm bureau party consisting of a chicken dinner high class show lancing dancing and other amusement ment on oil friday night january 25 the farmers will all shake a le leg at the annual farm bureau ball officers for 1929 will be elected at the board of directors meeting today the resolutions will be presented saturday morning on tile the afternoon of january 26 the utah sugar beet cooperative association wil elect officers for 1929 on january 23 the day preceding the farm bureau convention the utah poultry producers association and the utah fruit and vegetable growers association held their annual meetings |
