Show THE JU uy UL h ar U T Z PENS S ja alid 1 A SO N sentiment of love adopted for departed member elizabeth BIar kua the richfield study club held its first meeting of the year at the home of mrs J clifford nelson thursday music was furnished by the ladies quartet and the male quartet mrs airs J clifford nelson outlined the years work and named drama music and art and decoration as the subjects tor for study and discussion during the year mrs C H mcentyre one of the charter members of the club who is moving to pocatello was presented with a gift in appreciation of her loyalty and faithfulness to the club the keen loss the officers feel at the passing of mrs airs M markus one of the most valued members was expressed to members by mrs andrew anderson sa follows A sentiment of love it is with sincere grief and profound sorrow that we give the following sentiment of love for our departed club member elizabeth markus to live in the hearts of those we love is not to die we honored her for the brilliancy of her intellect for her virtuous and and upright example tor for her courage and integrity wo we loved her for her great personal beauty and charm for the goodness of her heart tor for her cheerfulness optimism for the sw etness of her nature and tor for all the noble qualities with which she was so richly endowed this wonderful lesson she has left us for daily contemplation and use today is your day and mine the only day we have the day in which we play our part what our part may signify in the great whole we may not understand but we aro are hero here to play it and now is our time this thia wo we know it la is a part ol of action not of whining it is a part of love not cynicism it Is tor for us to express love in terms of human helpfulness one of the wisest of men has said mid it is easy in the world to live after the worlds opinion it is easy in solitude to live after our own but the great woman is she who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of her character these words fittingly describe to us her life her character her disposition and we mentally inscribe these upon her tombstone and lay them lovingly as flowers upon her grave commencing the work of the club mrs airs T R gledhill read and discussed the play the trifler by susan spell light refreshments were s served to members of the club by the officers the next study meeting will be held thursday afternoon october 9 at the homo home of mrs M C nelson |
