Show LIBRARY BOARD ACCEPTS librarians resignation NATION the library board held a prolonged session on tuesday night and transacted considerable business the chief matter for consideration was the resignation of mrs robinson who has served efficiently as librarian for several years but now desires to retire and spend some time with her daughters in salt lake city the board accepted her resignation effective when her successor is duly appointed and qua qualified which will probably be about august 1 the board asks the successful applicant to serve one month without pay while learning the details of the work and will meet june 24 to consider applicants another matter tor for consideration was the annual cleaning and renovation of the library building and this work was awarded to jo john hn ward who has done the work satisfactorily facto rily in the past tile the book committee was authorized sometime since to expend for new books and of this amount has been spent the committee expects to add many new nef volumes to the library in the near future and to make the book selections very attractive to patrons |
