Show U OF IT DRAMATIC CLUB PERFORMS IN RICHFIELD Rich fields theatergoers thearel acts spend delightful E evening velt ilig with lulu kett richfield s theatergoers spent a most enjoyable evening friday in the high school auditorium witnessing the performance of an american family comedy dr drama arria miss lulu bett staged by the dramatic club of 0 the university of utah every seat in the auditorium was taken and everybody enjoyed fully the fine points of 0 the play and the clever acting by tile the young hist rions we gave the cast once before and would have to repeat ourselves giving credit to the individual merits of the players they all were very good and it if we give special mention to miss beatrice hurst as ina deacon and miss ethel baker as lulu bett it is only for the reason that we highly commend them for their being absolutely free from over accentuating and overdoing over doing otherwise we can only state that the play was well staged well studied and well acted and credit Is due not only to the actors but also to director maud may babcock manager henry nelson so stage manager melvin freebairn property manager ray butler and art director julia seymore it II we are permitted to indulge in comparisons pari parl sons we may add at this occasion that the dramatic club of our local high school stands up under this comparison very well and that the play given by our boys and girls this season daddy longlegs under the direction of miss lorenda john allowing for the greater facilities and the longer stage experience of the university players was just as creditable cred table a performance as miss lulu bett between acts the high school orchestra cli estra ably led by mr terry gave a few justly appreciated musical numbers and fred graham orned ea arned much applause with two tenor solos |
