changes had been placed on the bulletin board tor for two weeks previous in order that the students might become familiar with them the most interesting revision was the clause as follows c at the end of any athletic season the student body may award a sweater sN eater to those athletes who have accumulated eleven units of scholastic credits and who have won the honor of wearing the official athletic R at end of any season the student body will award a sweater to those athletes who have that season been members of a dt adli championship team and who have won their letters even though they have hake not accumulated eleven units of scholastic credit it being understood der stood however that no student shall receive more than one award sweater in any school year it Is thought that this system jt it malting making awards will prove very sati sali factory but it is perhaps only t ti first step to bo be taken towards giving nd adequate equate and proper awards to our athletes the senior speech was given by helen kyhl on the subject of just the common people it showed the result of diligent and thoughtful work and brought out especially the points of achievements and the responsibilities of the common people who after all are the true builders of a nation f r rn in accordance with arrangements made for the distribution of underwood typewriting awards the following connection with tile the art exhibit are being arranged for one to be given at 2 45 p in m the other at 8 p m both in the high school auditorium H R 11 S wins tin prize for Best Salo of lyceum tickets A letter addressed to principal T D martin from ford howell manager or of the midland lyceum bureau of los angeles announces that the richfield high school won the prize ot of 1500 offered by the bureau to the school which makes the best showing in advance sale of lyceum tickets the check of 1500 was on en closed inthe in the letter manola jorgenson GO 62 one bronze bar wayland mattsson 44 a hitherto unknown songbird song bird of our school sang two very pleasing solos mabel ence and merlin hanson gave an ex excellent cellen duet which showed very well the talent and ability of both girls A at t the conclusion of the assembly a pep p ep rally was held and after a few spirited songs and yells a and nd a few announcements made by mr martin the classes of the morning were continued c year yc ar nook book progressing r the most recent reports from those people who are working on the year book are that the material tor for the different departments is coming in very well and being carefully classified all cuts for pictures have been finished and given over to dr markus marcus the snapshots have been selected and arranged very satisfactorily faculty to uphold upheld scholastic standards last neek eek at faculty meeting the deac teachers hers carried out a ruling which was made some time ago to the effect that any student not doing satisfactory work after having been div en six weeks time in which to bring his work up to standard should be suspended from school As a result two students were dropped from school last week this decision by the faculty was made in an effort to substantiate our school standards and to make our school as perfect and harmonious as POs possible sible it is hoped that this will be the first and only instance which will require qu re the execution of this ruling second honor roll completed the honor roll for the second term has just been completed it appears somewhat late because of extra work in the office connected with reports desired by the state superintendent of high schools the honor roll tor for this term is as follows all A honor roll in order to be on the A honor roll students must have four unit As or the equivalent
