Show ANNA POULSON LAID AT REST FRIDA THE 29 funeral services were held friday afternoon in the first ward chapel over the remains of anna poulson aged wife of andrew P poulson and one of Richt Rich ields fields pioneer women bishop F M 1 I ogden was in charge of the services which opened with prayers prayer by y john 11 ence words of praise for te deceased pioneer and of consolation to the bereaved survivors were spoken by joseph ogden mrs minnie morten jensen J M peterson and bishop ogden music was under direction of 0 chorister ward and a solo mother of mine was beautifully rendered by miss hiss elsie ward benediction was offered by D G ramsey all the surviving children were at the bedside ol 01 their beloved mother when she answered the last call and took part in the funeral services they are mrs carrie nielson and A J poulson of salt lake city geo C poulson P C poulson and joseph F poulson of richfield and mrs R J stewart of los angeles cal the passing away of mrs anna C poulson took another pioneer woman from our midst mrs poulson whose maiden name was anna christine anderson came here from sar ring denmark as a child in 1872 and came right to richfield where she lived ever since those were the real pioneer days as richfield in those days boasted of only a few houses and the roads were mud and dust tracks in 1874 she married andrew P poulson the ceremony being performed in the endowment house in salt lake city she was not a woman who cared to be in the eyes of the public but was ot of a retiring nature faithful and tenderhearted to all who knew her her family of six sis children three of which are stepchildren step children tilled her life many an interesting tale she could tell of how through the tifty fifty years ot of her living here she saw this little city gradually grow from a few shacks to the live progressive community of the present day |
