Show f I 1 ANNABELLA V 0 0 mrs irs rozetta davis spent the t h e tore f e part of last week with her dau daughter r mrs oliver washburn of monroe lee parks has been at clear creek the past few days looking alter after the elec electric trIe ligh plant there the M 1 1 I A held their regular conjoint meeting sunday evening in the ward chapel where a very entertaining program was given myron fanchea is home for a visit with his parents after an ab sense of several months herding sheep A shower was given friday at the home of sidney roberts in honor of J hooper our young missionary sio nary who leaves tor for a mission this week to the central states A 4 dance will be given tuesday evening evening in the amusement hall for the benefit of elder hooper A large crowd is expected out to wish him god speed in his missionary labors lavell brown little daughter of mr and mrs kenneth brown of grass valley is slowly improving from an attack of heart and kidney trouble lavell has been been staying with her grand parents mr and mrs richard brown for some time and has been under physicians care during her stay high priest conference was held in our ward friday with a very good attendance although we would have liked to have had all of the high priests present lunch was served in the amusement hall at noon to the visitors and townspeople and after meeting all were served to a melon treat they were a jolly bunch and we welcome them back again the men of town who have cattle on oil the mountains are going up wednesday to gather what they can find A number of our townspeople went pine nut gathering saturday but they did not meet with much success they found the nuts nearly all alt shelled out and gathered by the squirrels squirrel mr and mrs laj lasell ell nathin are moving this week into the old huntsman home A great many of our young bung nim rods were out good and early sunday morning to take advantage of all the time given in which to hunt ducks several returned with their limit mr and mrs J L ewing of richfield visited with relatives here on sunday and enjoyed a melon treat along with E elroy thurston and family at wilford barneys barneis Bar mrs ellen thurston mrs ella gleave mrs partha gleave and mrs fanny savage are taking in conference at salt lake this week A number of strong republicans from our town attended the convention at salina saturday among the nominees was E elroy thurston tor for county clerk we feel they have made a good choice as he has ed as town clerk for several years and has tilled filled other responsible positions here although he will be greatly missed here it i elected we wish him the best of successes ss |
