Show VACATION SCHOOL 1 COMESTO CLOSE , The first - Religious Vacation School 4ver held in the diocese ol t Salt Lake closed it's four week session with a great religious demonstration dem-onstration iu Bingham Canyon on SnndayJ June 30th. lloly Rosary church,; containing one of the largest auditoriums in the Can i f you city, was filled when the ser- vices began at 9 a. m. when Mrs. .. A. J. Martinez at' the organ struck -the refrain, "0 Lord, I Am Not Worthy,", over twenty-five, child-,,'.:., ren dressed in white marched, to , the front of the church singing in ' unison with the entire congregation. congrega-tion. Father Win. A. Riuel, pastor pas-tor of fiie church celebrating the mass, had requested that the Vacation Va-cation School order be followed during the mass. Miss Lillian , Looney, a twelve year old pupil of the Vacation School, then took charge of the organ with her younger sister Lorraine directing the singing. , In his remarks ia the congregation congre-gation Father Ruel spoke feelingly feeling-ly of the splendid accomplish-' t ments of the school, and of its beneficial influence upon this community at large. In the vesti-' -bule of the church an exhibit of the sewing and fancy work made by the sewing . classes of . the school drew much favorable at- tention. After services, pictures of the school group, and the First , Communion Class were taken. A '' delicious Communion breakfast ;, served at the Kiwanis Hall closed Jhe exercises of a memorable day for Bingham. .. : It may be interesting to note that of idie total registration of 58 children, 26 had1 a perfect atten- ' dance record, and 12 report cards showed perfect scholarship. . All sessions of the school were held in the church with Father Ruel in charge, assisted by the follow-, ing lay teachers: ' . -I Religion and Bible History classes Mrs. F.
