Show GOOD MAN IS CALLED BEYOND james C peterson Pc terson succumbs after operation for stomach trouble at hospital in the death of james C peterson familiarly known as jim peters boulder garfield county loses its most valued citizen mr peterson lias has been a sufferer from cancer of the stomach tor for years and last monlay monday he submitted to an operation at the local hospital the surgeons found the outlet to the stomach completely closed and every evidence that even if the operation proved successful his life could not be prolonged tor moro more than a few months he rallied from the operation but his vitality was not eagal anual I 1 to the shock and on thursday morning at 5 he passed awaya his family had been summoned i from boulder and all the members were present pre seni when the end came he e had sunk into unconsciousness at 2 0 I 1 clock on wednesday and lie he passed pas ed to the great beyond without recovering ring consciousness the deceased was a well known resident resl dent of richfield up to 1892 he I 1 vas ivas born in denmark in 1854 and came to utah with his parents in the early sixties the family settled at IL ephraim but later moved to richfield they were here at the time the indians were waging their wars and they joined the exodus back to sanpete county when hen the peace treaty was concluded they returned to richfield and were active in the affairs of the community tor for years in 1892 mr peterson who had married miss jane baker moved with liis his family to boulder he became one of the active participants in the development development of that district and was eventually made presiding elder of the ecclesiastical destinies of the ward nard he is survived by his wife four sons and three daughters the sons are william bertrand Bor george band and reo the daughters are ruth P lyman maude P haws and leda peters all of boulder he also leaves one brother in richfield N P peterson and a sister mrs annie peterson feterson mr peterson was a highly respected energetic citizen and in addition to his many relatives lie he leaves a host of friends who will miss him the remains remain swill will lie in state at the h home 0 me of his brother in law georgo george baker until 3 sunday afternoon noon at which time funeral services will be held at t the first first ward chapel |
