Show Commencement at theU. of U. Pians have been completed foi the Sixty-second annual commence-iui.nu commence-iui.nu uu tne university oi Utah to be held June 7th to 9th inclusive in Kingsbury Hall. Approximaeiy jiii students will receive degrees u' diplomas at that time. These will include about 400 bachelor degrees, de-grees, thirty master . degrees, toir-ty-two meuical certificates, 1U0 two year normal diplomas and about ten three-year junior high scnool diplomas. Joseph Peterson, Ph. D., professor profes-sor of psychology at Geo. Peabody College for Teachers, Nashville, j Tennessee, will deliver the commencement com-mencement address to the gradu-. ales on Tuesday, June 9th. Dr. Peterson is a noted educator an I a former member of the University of Utah faculty. Rabbi Samuel H. Gordon cf Temple B'nai Israel, Salt Lake City, Ci-ty, will deliver the Baccalaureate sermon in Kingsbury Hall, Sunday June 7th. The annual public address ad-dress to Phi Kappa Phi, honor scholarship society will be given by S Professor B. Roland Lewis of the 3 University English Department on j jj Monday morning June 8th. This ; will be preceded by Phi Kappa Phi 1 1 initiation. Senior Class Day exercises and dinner will be held at noon on Monday. Monday afternoon the annua reception given by Presi- dent and Mrs. George .Thomas to I the graduates and friends of the University will be held at their jj! home. Alumni reunions have been scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, June 9th. A business meeting ol I the alumni will be held Monday i evening, June 8th. The annual alulmni banquet and ball will be given Tuesday evening, June 9th I at the Hotel Utah. Fifteen classes of the University will hold reunions this year. They I are the classes of '81 (golden an- niversary), '84, '85, '86, '87, '03, '04 I '05, '06, (silver anniversary) '11 1 (twenty year), '22, '23, '24, '25 and '20 (five year). j |
