Show A Neighborhood There are now twenty "cities in the United States which have more than a hundred thousand telephones tele-phones in use twice as many as there were ten years ago. As the world develops, the telephone, tele-phone, as the fastest and most efficient means of communicat'on. becomes of increasing value. Oiice it was a convenience. Now it is a necessity. The social and business bus-iness relations of the twentieth century, whether between individuals, individ-uals, industries or governments, are dependent to a large degree on the telephone. Fifty years ago it took months for a letter to reach Europe from certain parts of the United States. Now, within a few minutes, we can project our voices across oceans oceans and continents. The telephone tele-phone has made tne world into a neighborhood. |
